In June 2016, rebuilding continues as the team goes back to Guian National High School to construct another library. We will also bring some creative juice with us as we beautify an elementary school with a mural painting. Then, we will entertain the kids with some storytelling. Finally, we will also do some coastal care to do our share in taking care of our Mother Earth.
But the highlight for 2016 is the effort of the group to develop a series of storybooks for different age groups that we can bring to our target communities. We are currently working with volunteer writers and artists willing to collaborate with us in this endeavor. You may find the book in our “How Can You Help” Page.
To help raise awareness for the environmental effects of climate change, Read For Hope came up with a story book, Happy Water, Sad Water: A Story To Prepare Kids for Floods and The Aftermath. The Book Launch will be held on February 20, 2016, 6-7:30PM at Cafe Laya.
This coming August 27 the group is will be renovating the classroom being used by the children of the Yangil Tribe in Sitio Sagpat in Zambales.
